Meet HelloLittleFox: Handmade Textiles from Friends of ChilDecor
ChilDecor × HelloLittleFoxI've known Maksym and Marina since we were teenagers. Our children have played in a HelloLittleFox teepee, so their work has been part of our family life as well as something we know through their business.
Here at ChilDecor, we usually talk about mobiles, night lights, and the details that bring a nursery together. This time, I wanted to introduce the friends behind another small brand, one that makes textiles for play corners, children's rooms, and everyday meals.
A family story that started with a teepee

Maksym and Marina are parents to three boys. In their account of how HelloLittleFox began, they describe making their first teepee for their own children in 2020. Friends and family started asking for one, too, and a home project gradually became a small workshop.
Knowing someone long before they start a business gives an introduction like this a personal connection. They are our friends, and our children have used their work. The pieces below are a few examples from their current collection, with some thoughts on how to choose colors and textures for your own home.
A little space for play

The teepee feels like a natural place to start, both because of that first family project and because it is the piece our children played in.
Their beige cotton teepee is a simple starting point for a play corner. Its plain fabric leaves you room to add a color you already have elsewhere: green from a picture on the wall, perhaps, or a small checked cushion.
You don't need to choose every detail at once. Start with where the tent will stand and how much floor space you have. This model has a base of about 43 by 43 inches, so measuring the corner first is worthwhile. The listing includes a matching padded mat, and name personalization is available if you want that extra detail.
The everyday pieces deserve a look, too

Alongside the teepees and room decor, HelloLittleFox makes high chair cushions and covers. This is the part of the collection to explore if you're looking for something for the family table.
The range is organized by chair model, including Stokke Tripp Trapp, IKEA Antilop, Mockingbird, and Hauck Alpha. These are accessories made by HelloLittleFox for those models, rather than products from the chair manufacturers.
The beige gingham option for Tripp Trapp brings a small, familiar check into the mix. Its description lists a wipeable surface, optional name embroidery, and several cushion combinations. Some options include a storage pocket.
Choose the fit and contents before the pattern: the chair setup, restraint openings, and pieces you need all matter. If you're unsure, ask the makers about your particular configuration and check your chair's instructions. Once that is settled, choosing a print is the enjoyable part.
A leaf, a little green, and a room that comes together

Their sage green leaf mat offers another starting point for a room's colors. The leaf shape gives you a motif to work with, while cream textiles and wood tones can provide a simple background.
For example, you could repeat the green in a picture or echo the leaf shape in a botanical mobile in a separate nursery area. The room can feel connected without every item sharing the same fabric.
The mat has a cotton outer fabric and polyester filling. It comes in several sizes, and the makers also offer custom two-color combinations. That gives you something specific to discuss if you're trying to work with colors already in your home.
Bringing different textures together

The off-white canopy takes a different approach to the same idea. Its linen-and-cotton fabric could form the backdrop for a reading corner, with more textured decor elsewhere in the room.
A pale palette still has variety: the folds of a canopy, a checked cushion, and the looped surface of bouclé each add something different. You can keep the colors close and let those textures do more of the work.
Before choosing a canopy, check its length, mounting requirements, and intended use with the makers. For the color combination, fabric samples are helpful when available; two shades called off-white can look quite different together.
An introduction from our family
There is no need to turn this into a whole-room shopping list. You might be looking for a cushion that fits the chair you already own, or a single piece for a play corner. Start there.
I wanted to share HelloLittleFox because we know the people behind it, and their teepee has been part of our children's play. You can explore Maksym and Marina's work here, with a little more of their story in mind.
