ChilDecor Lights - iOS Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the ChilDecor Lights app for iPhone and iPad (the “App”). It does not cover the ChilDecor online store, which has its own privacy policy. For questions about this App, contact support@childecor.com.

Information the App uses

The App uses Bluetooth to discover, connect to, and control compatible ChilDecor lights. It reads a nearby light’s advertised name, Bluetooth identifier, and connection status. It sends power, brightness, current time, and timer commands directly between your device and the light over Bluetooth. The App does not request your location or read your GPS coordinates.

To remember your preferences and reconnect to lights, the App stores information on your device, including selected and removed light identifiers and names, the last power and brightness settings, timer state, language preference, and whether the introductory guide has been shown. The App does not require you to create an account.

Sharing and third-party services

The App does not send these Bluetooth details or preferences to ChilDecor servers. It does not include advertising or analytics tools, and we do not sell information obtained through the App. Commands are exchanged directly with compatible lights.

The App may offer links to the ChilDecor store or a YouTube guide. If you choose to open one, that website or service handles your visit under its own privacy policy. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you include so we can respond to your request.

Depending on your iPhone or iPad settings, iOS may include locally stored App data in a device or iCloud backup. Apple manages those backups under your device and iCloud settings.

Your choices, retention, and deletion

You can turn off the App’s Bluetooth access in iOS Settings, although the light-control features will then be unavailable. App preferences remain on your device until you delete the App. If a backup exists, you can manage it separately through your device or iCloud settings.

We retain support emails only as needed to handle requests and meet applicable obligations. To ask us to delete correspondence we hold, email support@childecor.com. We will review and respond to your request, subject to any legal retention requirements.

Security and changes

Locally stored App information is protected by the security features of iOS. We may update this policy if the App or its data practices change; the effective date above will show when it was last updated.
