What Makes a Handmade Felt Baby Mobile Different

Felt is quiet. It doesn't rattle, doesn't spin too fast, doesn't compete for attention. A felt baby mobile moves slowly with the air in the room — and that gentleness is exactly the point. Each element in our felt mobiles for babies is hand-sewn and lightly stuffed, so the shapes are soft and three-dimensional without being heavy.

We make ours from eco-friendly polyester and wool felt — materials that hold their shape, stay colorfast, and are safe to hang above a crib. Every mobile hangs from a natural wooden ring, with elements spaced to catch light and movement. The kind of thing a baby actually looks at.

Our felt crib mobiles follow a few themes — and each one is made for a different kind of nursery:

Forest & Nature — butterflies, leaves, woodland creatures, mountains and clouds. Earth tones, greens, warm creams. These are for nurseries that feel grounded and calm

Whimsical & Playful — frog and turtle pond scenes, sheep and lamb designs, butterfly combinations in soft pastels. A little more personality, still gentle on the eye.

Minimalist — white felt birds, clean leaf shapes, neutral butterfly mobiles in beige and cappuccino. For nurseries where less is more.

How to Hang a Felt Nursery Mobile

Hang the mobile centered above the crib — high enough that your baby can see it, but well out of reach. As a general rule, the bottom of the mobile should stay far above where small hands can reach. Once your baby starts pushing up on hands and knees, it's time to take it down — typically around 5 months.

These are decorative mobiles, not toys. Designed for nursery use when installed as directed.

Care

Felt doesn't like water. If the mobile needs a refresh, use a sticky lint roller — the kind made for clothes. That's it. No washing, no cleaning products. The colors stay true and the shapes stay soft.

Yes — these felt crib mobiles are designed for nursery decoration and are made with hypoallergenic, baby-safe materials. They must be hung out of reach of the baby at all times. Remove the mobile once your baby can push up on hands and knees.
