This is a handmade boucle baby mobile — a soft crib mobile made from bouclé fabric shaped into clouds and a crescent moon, each piece filled with hollowfiber to hold its rounded form. The moon hangs at the center. Four clouds surround it at different heights. Natural wooden beads sit between them. The whole composition turns slowly above the crib in the quietest kind of motion.
Each cloud and the moon are shaped and sewn by hand. Bouclé fabric has that looped, plush texture that makes the surface look almost three-dimensional — soft to the touch, warm to the eye, the same material used in our boucle cloud night lights.
What is this boucle baby mobile made from?
Each cloud and moon is a soft, three-dimensional shape — handmade, filled with hollowfiber, and covered in bouclé fabric. Bouclé has a looped, textured weave that gives each piece its characteristic plush surface — soft to the touch, warm to the eye. It’s the same fabric used in our boucle cloud night lights, which means the mobile and the wall light share the same texture if you pair them. The hollowfiber fill keeps the shape light and rounded — not stiff, not flat. The moon is a crescent that hangs in the center. Four clouds of the same size orbit around it at slightly different heights. Natural wooden beads sit between the strings, adding a warm material contrast to the all-white composition.

How do you hang the boucle cloud and moon mobile?
The mobile hangs from a loop at the top of the wooden ring — hook it onto a crib arm or ceiling hook. A crib arm is not included but is available separately in our shop. Once hung, the moon centers itself naturally and the four clouds distribute around it. The composition spans approximately 35–40 cm in diameter — wide enough to fill the visual field above a standard crib without crowding it. Hang at a height your baby can see but not reach — typically 30–40 cm above the mattress surface when the baby is lying down. This mobile is for decoration only, not a toy. Remove from above the crib once your baby can push up on their hands and knees.

How do you hang a plush baby mobile?
Hang the mobile from a standard ceiling hook, centered above the crib. The mobile comes with a wooden ring base ready to hang; the ceiling hook is not included. Position it high enough that baby cannot reach any of the elements, even when standing in the crib. A crib arm attachment is available separately if you'd like to mount the mobile directly to the crib rail rather than the ceiling — is available for separate purchase — buy crib arm.
When should you take down a baby mobile?
Take the mobile down once your baby begins to push up on hands and knees — typically around 5 months. At that stage, baby can reach up and pull on hanging elements. Our mobiles are nursery décor, not toys. They're designed to hang out of reach at all times.
How do you clean a boucle baby mobile?
